IRELAND - BEAUFORT HOUSE

On the site of Beaufort House once stood a castle, built in 1641 and attacked by Cromwell's army in 1654. All that remained of the castle were three walls which now form the hallway of Beaufort House. It is situated off the Ring of Kerry and today operates as a Hotel.
