SCOTLAND - CASTLE VENLAW

Castle Venlaw is located 23 miles south of Edinburgh, in the Valley of the River Tweed in the Borders of Scotland. Nestling in 4 acres of beautiful woodland grounds overlooking the Royal and ancient town of Peebles, the castle is an excellent example of Scottish Baronial style.

The original house was built in 1782 by Alexander Stevenson, Sheriff Deputy of Peebleshire. Since 1782 the castle has changed hands a number of times and owners have included Major Archibald Erskine. Today the owners are John and Shirley Sloggie who provide guests at Castle Venlaw with quality food and accommodation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
